Educational Drama
For primary school students (5th and 6th grade) as well as 1st Junior High (in schools) Duration 2 hours
This is an educational drama program based on the photographic work of Kostas Balafas concerning the diversion of Achelous. The children take up the roles of Achelous’ village residents concerned with man’s intervention on the environment and use the photographic medium for documentation. They attempt to find answers in questions regarding the impact of technology on the environment, the feelings one experiences when forced to abandon one’s home as well as how the personal glance of a photographer can affect the final result of a photograph.
