The Departments of Educational Programs of the State Museum of Contemporary Art and the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography in cooperation with the Services of Social Affairs and Solidarity of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, AUTh and ARSIS join forces with the Self Help Promoting Program of the Psychology Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and invite parents and children from the refugee camp in Thessaloniki Port, as well as citizens to play games and create “Toys of the World”.

The aim of this collective action is to get in touch city residents with the refugees staying at the Port of Thessaloniki, to strengthen relations and to develop collaboration between participants, but also to eliminate the restriction of children accommodated in the port through gaming.

The toys will be allocated in the refugee camp.

The program is aimed at children aged 8-10 years and their parents. For a better running of the program is required the active participation of parents / adult escorts.
Each group will attend a three-hour workshop to be held on Tuesday and Thursday at the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography between 10:30 and 12:00.

The meetings will take place on the following days:

Group 1: Tuesday 28 and Thursday, June 30
Group 2: Wednesday 5 and Thursday, July 7
Group 3: Wednesday 12 and Thursday 14 July
Group 4: Tuesday 19 and Thursday, July 21

Participation is free. First come first served.
