The Odyssey has described, in a unique way, the longing and deep desire to return to life interrupted in a country that is waiting. Its modern version is about the refugee crisis, the search of another life in a distant, unknown place that symbolizes prosperity and security.
In this context, the exhibition of the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography Another life: Human flows / Unknown Odysseys, after ten successful months in Thessaloniki, is presented in Athens & Epidaurus Festival, from May 22 untill July 19, 2017 at Peiraios 260, A. The exhibition attempts to illuminate and summarize known and unknown, current and earlier aspects of the refugee-migration issue that tests the country’s resilience and to sensitize large part of civil society.
The exhibition presents more than 160 works of 26 photographers – most of them active photojournalists – who presented with their personal point of view the dramatic human adventure, which started in the troubled land of other countries to be transposed into Greek territory.
