The Director of the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, Hercules Papaioannou, has submitted his resignation to the Minister of Culture & Sports on 24/10 and again on 2/11.

He expresses his gratitude to the political leadership of Ministry of Culture & Sports for trusting him, to the Administration of the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography and the State Museum of Contemporary Art for the collaboration for the past three years, to the artists, the curators, the collaborators who supported the work of the ThMP during this period.

He also expresses his best wishes for the launching of the newly established Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki.
