Roland Laboye was born in Castres, France. Self-taught, he was initially influenced by his father, a painter, sculptor and ceramicist. Ηe studied photography and since 1969 he works as a professional phorographer. He has received many awards, he has shown his work in solo and group exhibitions around the world and has served as director at the Municipal Photographic Center of Montpellier.
