Tloupas Takis (1920 – 2003)

Born in Larissa. He first came into contact with photography, while participating in tours of the Mountaineering Association of Larissa. During the Second World War he worked at a photo shop and some years later he opened his own workshop. He traveled with the Red Cross documenting his work, as well as on behalf of the Mechanized Farming and the Forest Service. Active member of the Greek Photographic Society, he has taken part in exhibitions and events in Greece and abroad and has published his photographs in the Greek magazine “Photo”. In 1981 he released the album From the Land of the people (ed. Three Cards). In 1988 he participated with his photographs in the book Varousi. In 1986, he collaborated with the municipality of Larissa on the album “Pictures of Larissa yesterday” and in 2005 Greece Takis Tloupas (ed. Capon) was released.
