Kollar Martin (1971 – )

Βorn in Zilina in Czechoslovakia (now Slovak Republic), he studied camera at the Film faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. He has been working as a freelance photographer and cinematographer since his graduation. Kollar works on long term projects. He has received several grants and awards, such as 3ppp photo-stipend, World press photo Joop Swart masterclass, Oscar Barnac Award, SCAM Rodger Pic award, Fuji Film Euro Press Photo Award and Backlight photography Award. His work has been exhibited in venues in many countries including Maison Europeen de la Photography, Recontres des Arles, Le Château d’Eau Toulouse, MOCA (Shanghai), Guandong museum of art (China), House of Photography (Prague) and Month of Photography (Krakow, Thessaloniki, Bratislava and Athens). He is a member of Gallery and Agence VU in Paris since 2003.
