Ignatiadis Konstantinos (1958-)

Born in 1958 in Ioannina, Greece, he graduated from the Physics and Mathematics department of the Thessaloniki Aristotelian University in 1982 and left for Paris where he remained until 1998.
In 1986 the Vasilis and Eliza Goulandris Foundation secured him a scholarship specializing in photographing works of art at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Paris.
In 1987 he was hired by the Centre Georges Pompidou Μ.Ν.Α.Μ. (Musée National d’Art Moderne) as photographer for collections and exhibitions and in 1991 became the exclusive photographer for the “Galeries Nationale du Jeu de Paume” Museum in Paris. Since 1993 he works as an outside collaborator for special photography and museum documentation at the Louvre Museum.
He photographed for editions of art books: J. Dubuffet (all of his signiature work), D. Cordier (M.N.A.M editions), H. Creuzevault (bookbindings and complete works), Galerie Yvon Lambert (the collection) G. Sklavos (publication by the Greek National Bank).
From 1988-1992 he was actively involved in the production of the first video-discs and CDs (peinture-sculpture-objets d’ art) for the Louvre and Orsay Museums.
In 1996 the French state, with funds from the “Fonds National d’ Art Contemporain,” bought seven of his works.
In Greece, since 2007 his works are held in the collections of the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and the Thessaloniki Photography Museum.
Since 1999 he collaborates with the Conservation of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities for book publishing (Archaeological Museum of Ioannina, Nicopolis, Lefkada).
In 1999 he completed gravure printing (19th century) of the first book of art “Éphéméride I” with seven photogravures (500 copies). He also has solo and group exhibitions to his name. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts.
