Zerdevas Takis (1974-)

Takis Zerdevas studied graphic arts in Athens and photography in Paris. In 1974, he started working in the advertising photography. In 1985 he founded the faculty of photography and video FOCUS, which he directs since then. In 1993 he turned to the artistic creation using photography and video. He has held 11 individual exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has participated in several group ones, including “Foculisation du Regard” in the building of Western European Union in Brussels (1995), “Aspects of Greek Photography” , in the Museum of Modern Art in Nice (1998),“Mesiac Fotografie” in Bratislava (1998), “I, Me My Self” in Centre of Contemporary Art in Rethymno (2001), “Periplo del Mediterraneo” in the Academia Linguistica di Belle Arti in Genova (2004), “Dialogues” in the Macedonian Museum of Benaki in Athens (2004) (a co- production with Makis Faros ), Photosynkyria in the Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki (2004) and the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games in Athens 2004, where he presented his installation “Tavern” (a co – production with Makis Faros).

Part of his work belongs to private collections and museums.
