In two international cultural events will Thessaloniki Museum of Photography be present in the next few days.
As every year, the ThMP participates in the 15th Thessaloniki International Book Fair held at the HELEXPO Exhibition Center from 3 to 6 May 2018. Publications of the ThMP, exhibitions catalogues, books on the art of photography and souvenirs from the museum’s shop will be on Pavillion 13, stand 114 for visitors to the 15th TIBF.
The entrance to the Thessaloniki International Book Fair is free.
From 9 to 13 May 2018, the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography participates in the international festival of culture for young people of the European South #SKG Bridges Uprising Art & Culture Festival, in collaboration with Stereosis Photography.
The photographic series “Common Places / Parallel Stories I, II, III, IV”, edited by Kosmas Pavlidis and Emmanouil Papadopoulos, attempts through a multilevel photographic narrative to detect common representations and varied differences in lengths and backs the European south and the Balkan Peninsula.
A total of 38 photographers from ten countries are touring in the European Mediterranean and the Balkans, in intimate or uninhabited places that are socially and politically mutated, having for the first time perhaps the same orientation as that of the United Europe.
The screenings will take place in Evosmos square, in the courtyard of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, in the Bey Hamami, in the Roman Market and in Pier A’ at the Port of Thessaloniki, accompanied by music, as well as in ThMP’s cafe.
Entrance will be free to the public.
