Born in Thessaloniki. He first became interested in photography during his studies at the American College and became seriously involved at the end of 1950’s thanks to his relationship to the photographer Kyriakos Apostolidis. He studied at the Law School of Thessaloniki and worked for “Alyssida”. the shoemaking family business. In reality he was self taught in photography and occupied himself with photography for only a few years in the second half of the 1960’s. He donated his archive to the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography.
