From the TMP and the National Gallery-Alexandros Soutzos Museum, the Photographic Archive of the Benaki Museum and the Skopelos Photography Center archives and collections.

The 190 works of eleven important Greek photographers – Andreas Embeirikos, Konstantinos Zimeris, Sokrates Iordanidis, Dimitris Letsios, Spyros Meletzis, Nelly’s, Theodoros Nikoleris, Voula Papaioannou, Yiannis Stylianou, Dimitris Harissiadis, Maria Chroussachi – all born between the end of the 19th century and 1941 are presented in the exhibition. The exhibition, which attempts to outline the tendencies developed in the history of Greek photography of the mid-war period till the 1970’s, is divided into five sections: “Mask and Body”, “Material and Form”, “Man and landscape”, “Portrait and memory’, “Traces and testimonies”.
