Participating the 9th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival-Images of the 21st century

In a small town outside New York, where her mother lives, Tierney Gearon photographs her and makes her immortal. Her photographs are deeply personal while at the same time seem detached from their subject-matter: lingering in between the narrative and the mysterious her photographs are a thorough study on the family, on motherhood but also on psychological illness and old age. A documentary also entitled The Mother Project will be presented, as part of the Festival’s section Portraits: Human Journeys.
