The artist takes photographs of indoor buildings in the Greek cities of Agrinio, Volos, Kavala, Drama and Xanthi that in the past housed tobacco factories, tobacconists as they say in Northern Greece. With his lens he roams inside the vast rooms, which once pulsated with life, revealing how important the cultivation and trade of tobacco was in Greece. Kamilo Nollas’s photographs convey relationships of space like indications, traces, brandings of time.
