Greek photography from the mid-war period till the 1970s is unfolded in Heraklion, Crete, through the 190 works of eleven important Greek photographers: Andreas Embeirikos, Konstantinos Zimeris, Sokrates Iordanidis, Dimitris Letsios, Spyros Meletzis, Nelly’s, Theodoros Nikoleris, Voula Papaioannou, Yiannis Stylianou, Dimitris Harissiadis, Maria Chroussachi. A TMP production, which attempts to outline the tendencies developed in the history of Greek photography of the period, is divided into five sections: “Mask and Body”, “Material and Form”, “Man and landscape”, “Portrait and memory’, “Traces and testimonies”.
