With three exhibitions in Athens, Kythira and Plovdiv, the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography “travels” in the next days, presenting the work of three Greek photographers.

The route starts with the collaboration of the ThMP with the Photographic Meetings of Kythira 2017, where an anthology of works by the important historical photographer Leonidas Papazoglou is presented at the exhibition “Photos from the Macedonian Struggle”, which opens on Saturday, September 30, at the Old School in Kalamos.

After a highly successful course in Thessaloniki, the exhibition “New Ruins” by Avraam Pavlidis, co-organized by the National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation and the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, is being moved to Athens. The opening will take place on Thursday, October 5, at 20:00, at the Edinburgh Mansion, where the exhibition will be hosted until November 25, and is accompanied by a homonymous catalog.

Finally, the ThMP continues its cooperation abroad, as it co-organizes the exhibition “Invisible Limits / Makeshift structures” by photographer Petros Efstathiades with the Plovdiv Center of Photography and the department of Culture of Plovdiv Municipality, in the framework of the annual festival “International Meetings of Photography”, which takes place from October 6 to October 26, in Plovdiv. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday, October 6, at 18:00 at Balabanov House, with the support of Ancient Plovdiv Municipal Institute, the City Art Gallery and the Regional History Museum.
