The Cultural Foundation of the Union of Journalists of Macedonia-Thrace daily announces the organization of a large Photo Exhibition Competition in Thessaloniki.
The event will be titled #PRESS _ photostories and its subject will be events from Northern Greece, which were photographed in 2017.
Photojournalists and journalists working in Greece or abroad can participate with their photographs of the year 2017 , meeting the following conditions:
The subject of the photographs will concern Northern Greece (Macedonia-Thrace).
Their creators must have a published photo work in the media (printed or online) within the last three years (2015-2017).
The thematic categories provided are: Politics, Culture / Arts, Environment, Place and People, Sports
The photographs will be attended by a jury of five members, including: Dimitris Messinis, the director of the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography Hercules Papaioannou, Professor of the Department of Visual Arts and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Giorgos Katsaggelos, Professor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Media of AUTh Grigoris Paschalidis, the journalist Lazaros Theodorakidis.
The photographs chosen by the Jury will be included in a report hosted by the Teloglion Foundation of Arts of the Aristotle University from 20 February 2018 to 11 March 2018.
For each of the above categories, a Prize of € 1,000 will be awarded for the best photo and honor for the second best.
One photo will award the Grand Prize of the Competition with a prize money of 2,000 €.
