Born in Athens, he studied film direction at the Staurakos School in Athens and since 1975 he has been working systematically as a photographer. He is the co-founder of Image Studio (1975), of the Photographic Center of Athens (1979) and of the publishing house Fotorama (1983). His works have featured in numerous exhibitions and editions in Greece and abroad, such as the albums The Asylum, At the beach and Thirteen Stange Deaths. Since 1984, he teaches at the Vacalo School in Athens, where he is currently based.
