Laszlo Lugosi Lugo was born in Budapest. After studying Hungarian and English litterature, as well as film theory, he graduated from the ELTE University in Budapest in 1977. Following a brief career as an English translator and language teacher, he turned to professional photography in 1985. His major fields have been city landscapes, architectural photography, portraits and travel pictures. During the last few years, he has grown a steady interest in the history of 19th century photography and photographers, the reconstruction of their work and their photographs. He also publishes regularly articles on photography for various Hungarian magazines. He is the photographer and author of several books and albums and has exhibited his work in his native Hungary and abroad.
