Johanna Weber was born in 1966 in Koln, Germany. She studied at the Fine Arts schools in Frankfurt, Berlin, and Dusseldorf. She has been systematically involved with photography since 1991. In 1992 she held her first one-woman show in Patras. She graduated from the FAMU photographic college in Prague, where her exhibition entitled TUNEL was awarded the first prize at the Prager Film & Fotofestival 1993. In 2000, she got her master degree in journalism at the London College of Printing. Since the autumn of 1993 she lives and works as a photographer in Athens. She presented her work in exhibitions in Greece, Czech, Germany, USA, England. In 1996 she published the book Faces of Resistance.
